Reported By Patrick W. Boucher on Sep 8, 2008 - 1:21:05 AM

CM Punk didn't wrestle at Unforgiven last night so he could sell his backstage injury storyline involving Randy Orton. He's not actually injured, it was a creative team decision. He will be at RAW tonight.

There were reports last week that his replacement would be Edge, Randy Orton or Chris Jericho.

- Teddy sent the following:

After Unforgiven went off the air last night, new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho walked around the entire ringside area holding the title belt up still showing his injuries from earlier while Batista threw the ring steps in anger.

There was also some grumblings among the fans leaving the arena who were upset that the-then World Champion CM Punk didn't make an appearance on the show besides attacked backstage.

The pops of the night went to The Hardys, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Batista and Mysterio. It looked like there were about 10,000 to 12,000 fans in attendance as a lot of seats were blocked off.
