[Q1] The show began with the Big Show cutting a promo while grasping his neck. He said if the Undertaker crosses paths, he will bury him. Meanwhile, Chavo and Vickie were present with a casket. She said that the Undertaker will be competing in a casket match. She said that Undertaker will be pounded in a prison (in the casket), gasping for air inside the casket. She said the treat for the Undertaker is a casket match for Chavo Guerrero.
The crowd was shown in costumes and the announcers where dressed up. Tazz as a soldier and JR as a sailor.
1. John Morrison and The Miz defeated Primo and Carlito in a non-title match. The match was back and forth at the beginning with Primo getting some arm drags and some early offense. The heels worked on Carlito early and he tagged Primo to get back on the offense. [C]
[Q2] The show returned with the Colons working on the Miz in the ring. Carlito did a nice power bomb with Primo on Morrison. Morrison hit Primo with a nice springboard kick from the rope. The heels worked on Primo for a while and he got the tag to Carlito for some quick offense including a sit down power bomb. The Miz pinned Carlito with the Reality Check for the win.
Backstage, the casket was shown and the announcers hype the casket match… [C]
Jesse, Festus and Maria were shown in a room which consisted of them performing a magic trick. Maria stepped in box and the magician
continued to spin the box with her head in it and the magician twisted her body. Festus shed a tear and Jesse told the magician if you don’t want Festus to attack him, he should untwist her body.
2. John Wang Yang defeated Brian Kendrick by DQ. John Wang Yang told the crowd howdy. [C]
[Q3] The show returned with Tazz and JR cracking corny jokes about each other. Yang got on the early offense until Zeke distracted him and Kendrick worked on Yang’s arm. Kendrick missed a high knees move from the top rope and Yang got back on the offense with a cross body for a near fall. Kendrick missed the Kendrick and Zeke pulled Kendrick out of the ring for the DQ. Zeke later destroyed Yang inside the ring and Kendrick hit the Kendrick on Yang.
Backstage, Khali and Rahjin Singh were talking backstage and were approached by Kung Fu Naki and Khali mentioned that size matters. Khali approached the ring for the Kiss Cam which is next… [C]
Singh cuts a promo about how the Khali is so popular and girls kept calling and emailing him. The Kisscam began with plenty of good looking women but they decided to choose the woman with a hideous Witch costume. Singh said that Khali will place a lovespell on the witch and he proceeded to kiss the witch. The witch said that it was great and she wants a French kiss. Singh said to take the mask off and she proceeded to say that the warts were beauty marks.
[Q4] Singh called Khali the Punjabi Playboy and encouraged the crowd to French kiss the witch. He lifted up the fake noise and French kissed her and the witch almost had a heart attack. Vickie Guerrero (the real witch) was shown laughing in the back.
The announcers hype the six-man tag match, which is next… [C]
3. The Hardys and Rey Mysterio defeated Mark Henry, Kane and MVP in a six-man tag
match. The Hurrapop popped out and Helms said: MVP, try something new this week. Try winning! I’m just saying. The Hardy and Rey Mysterio (especially) got a huge pop from his hometown. Mark Henry and Matt Hardy began the match with back and forth action. The Hardys worked Henry until he tags MVP. MVP worked on Matt Hardy for a second until Mysterio was tagged in. The babyfaces cleared the ring momentarily. Mysterio had MVP in position for the 619 but Kane pulled Mysterio out of the ring… [C]
[Q5] The show returned with MVP working on Mysterio and the crowd chanting 619. The heels worked on Mysterio like a bunch of bullies with a series of slams, holds and punches. MVP had Mysterio in a gut wrench maneuver and Kane hot tagged MVP to works some more on Mysterio. Jeff Hardy hit the Whisper in the Wind for a one-count. Jeff Hardy went for a Twist of Fate and MVP countered but Matt hung around and gave MVP the Twist of Fate and it was followed by a Swanton Bomb by Jeff Hardy to score the pin.
[Q6] A Kizarny vignette was shown… Vladimir Kozlov came to the ring for a promo. The Hurrapop popped up and Helms mocked Kozlov’s facial features while he was talking. Kozlov called the crowd soft and lazy and he wants a title shot. He demanded for Triple H to give him a title shot and is shortly interrupted by Triple H. Triple H said “Listen, Boris.” He said if you wanna fight, let’s do it. Kozlov wants the belt and he says he will be king.
Triple H discussed Rocky films and how the Russian destroyed everyone until he faced the American and got beat badly. Triple H said if Kozlov wants a WWE title shot, he can get it but until then, shut up and let’s fight. The segment ended with a stare down and Kozlov left the ring. [C]
A John Cena vignette was shown…
[Q7] 4. Maria and Michelle McCool and Brie Bella defeated Natalya and Maryse and Victoria in a six-diva tag match. The Divas came to ring with their costumes for the match. Maria and Victoria began the match, and the Hurrapop popped up and Helms said: “Divas, you always make me pop up…I’m just saying.” Natalya had a nice fallaway slam on Brie Bella and tags Maryse. Maryse got a nice tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Bella and the heel proceeded to work on Bella. McCool got tagged in and worked on Victoria and Maria got a blind tag and got the pin for the victory. McCool had a look on her face wondering how Maria suddenly got a tag out of nowhere but still celebrated the victory.
R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin for the US title is announced for next week. JR said the casket match between Undertaker and Chavo Guerrero is next… [C]
5. The Undertaker defeated Chavo Guerrero in a Casket Match. Justin Roberts announced the match in a vampire costume. The druids bring the casket to the ring while Chavo looks scared inside the ring.
[Q8] The Undertaker approached the ring and the Big Show came out to observe the match. [C]
The match began with Undertaker toying with Chavo Guerrero by throwing him into the security railing. Then he proceeded to drop Chavo on top of the casket and slams his head inside of the casket. Taker approached the Big Show halfway and when he tried to kick Chavo, he missed. Chavo took a small advantage but Taker got back on the offense. Chavo gave the Undertaker a sloppy DDT and Show proceeded to the ring.
Chavo went for a chair but Taker countered with Snake eyes. As Taker was going to put Chavo in the casket, Big Show closed the casket. Taker choke slammed Chavo and Big Show comes in and battle with Taker. Big Show proceeded to beat on Taker in the ring. Show got flipped on the casket and was scared like it was on fire. Taker gave Chavo a tombstone Piledriver and rolls Chavo in the casket for the win. Backstage, Vickie Guerrero said she would give Kozlov a title match if he beats the Undertaker next week and if he wins, he can have a title shot at the Survivor Series.
Overall, this show was decent but not good neither. To my personal standards, this show as a disappointment. If the casket match featured a more prominent star instead of Chavo, it would have made me more excited to watch.
