Taped in Fresno, Calif.
[Q1] Highlights aired from last week of the Christian's return and match with Jack Swagger... The opening video aired... Pyro exploded on the stage and then Todd Grisham and Matt Striker introduced the show from ringside. They hyped the tag match main event...
1. Paul Burchill (w/Katie Lea) defeated The Boogeyman in 1:50. Striker said Teddy Long booked Burchill in this match because he went on a Christian Bale-like rant, which aired on the WWE website. Boogey was in control of the match when he became distracted by his own worm sack (no, really). Burchill rolled him up and scored the pin. Afterward, Boogey went after Katie, but she managed to avoid him and headed backstage with her brother...
Still shot photos aired from No Way Out of Jack Swagger beating Finlay to retain the ECW Title... The announcers noted that Swagger will defend the ECW Title against Christian next week... [C]
Did You Know that ECW was the most watched show on Sci-Fi for the 20th week in a row?...
[Q2] 2. John Morrison (w/The Miz) pinned Tommy Dreamer in 3:55. The ref sent Miz to the back early after he tried to trip Dreamer. Morrison still scored the clean pin after hitting the Moonlight Drive. Miz came back to ringside and celebrated with his partner afterward. The announcers said Dreamer had to be questioning whether it was time to hang up the boots...
Backstage, Christian asked Finlay if Hornswoggle was going to be a distraction at ringside. Finlay said they would keep their end up and asked Christian to be sure he could do the same... [C]
A video teased the return of Evan Bourne...
3. Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya) defeated Caden Mathews in 1:30. Squash match. Kidd hit the springboard elbow drop for the clean pin...
[Q3] [C] A WrestleMania video focussed on WrestleMania 14... Backstage, Ricky Ortiz tossed Tommy Dreamer a rally towel. He said Dreamer was the first person to welcome him and the only person to give him advice. "You're Tommy Dreamer," he said. "Come on, man, rally up"...
At ringside, Striker asked what the hell "rally up" means. Funny... A graphic noted that Steve Austin is a member of the 2009 WWE Hall of Fame Class. A video noted that the Funks will also be inducted on Apr. 4. They will be presented by Dusty Rhodes... Jack Swagger and Mark Henry made their ring entrances for the main event... [C]
[Q4] The babyfaces made their entrances...
4. Christian and Finlay (w/Hornswoggle) defeated Jack Swagger and Mark Henry (w/Tony Atlas) in 13:00. Grisham said ECW was the brand that Christian wanted to come to because he wanted to test himself against the young lions of WWE. At 2:40, Christian went to his corner to tag Finlay, but he was on the floor with Hornswoggle. Finlay climbed back onto the ring apron and made the tag as the announcers pointed out that there seemed to be some tension between the two. [C]
After the break, the heels took turns working over Finlay. He made the hot tag and the action picked up. Christian went up top. Atlas tried to stop him, but Christain kicked him off. Swagger caught Christian on the ropes, but Christian shoved him off and hit a top rope headbutt. Henry ran in and picked up Christian, but Hornswoggle ran in and grabbed Henry's leg.
Finlay knocked out Henry with the shillelagh. Christian hit his finisher on Swagger and pinned him for the second week in a row. The announcers hyped the Swagger vs. Christian match for next week. After the match, Christian looked down at Hornswoggle and then looked up at Finlay and smiled. Christian and Finlay shook hands...
