TNA and Spike TV officials continue to discuss the possibility of airing TNA Impact live every other week. Although the show will air live for the first time on March 27, future live broadcasts are not likely until the summer.

TNA officials continue to push the idea of moving the show to Monday nights for a head-to-head showdown with WWE RAW. Impact currently goes head-to-head with ratings giants CSI (on CBS) and Lost (on ABC) in it’s first hour, but Spike is hesitant to put TNA up against WWE for two hours.

The ratings for the March 27 live broadcast of Impact could be crucial to the company’s push for more live shows and a possible move to Monday nights.

Right now a move to Wednesday would make it ]easier for the company to hold live shows and keep the weekends open for house shows. The feeling is that it will be easier to get viewers for Impact on Wednesdays since there is very little competition especially with networks airing reruns.
