When MVP was drafted to RAW, I had a feeling his talent would be over shined by the likes of HHH, batista, Orton, etc.
Coming off tonight’s RAW, I have hopes that my prediction was wrong. MVP interrupted Orton’s promo which ultimately led to a match between the two later in the night. Although it was a short match, that ended pre-maturely when Shane interfered. It is still a great sign of things to come in the future.
MVP was underachieving on the SmackDown brand. His feuds, as a mid-card talent were always entertaining and involved great action inside the ring. He is one of the most decorated US title champions, but does the belt really reflect what type of wrestler he is, no.
If tonight was any indication of the future, MVP will be moved up to the top of the roster and feuding with Orton either sooner than expected, or possibly after Judgment Day. MVP played a great heel, but I think he will play an even better baby face.
As noted on PWHeadlines.com, MVP was expected to feud with Matt Hardy - with Matt becoming one of the dominant Heels on the RAW Brand. With Hardy going down, as a result of an injury, MVP’s status was definitely elevate at last minute.
Things to come for MVP, lets hope for the best because he is truly a deserving title contender.
