-- This week's edition of Raw drew a 3.3 cable rating, up from last week's 3.1 number. The first hour drew a 3.36 rating, but dropped for the second hour, drawing a 3.26 figure.

-- On tonight's edition of ECW, WWE developmental wrestler Shawn Spears made his television debut as part of Theodore Long's talent initiative, losing to Ricky Ortiz. He went under the name Gavin Spears. He has been under contract to WWE since January 2006, so he had been in developmental for quite some time. In February 2005, Spears got his first taste of WWE when he did job duty in a tag team match against Rosey and The Hurricane on an episode of WWE Heat.

-- Thus far, we don't have much to report on Takeshi Morishima's dark match prior to Raw last night. Although, it should be noted that Morishima is the current NOAH GHC Heavyweight champion and WWE had to get the company's permission to use him on the show. The whole thing was set up by Harley Race as his WLW promotion has a working agreement with NOAH.

-- DH Smith's mother, Diana Hart, was in attendance to watch her son wrestle at last Thursday's Florida Championship Wrestling show in Tampa. He wrestled new ECW wrestler Shawn Spears in a losing effort. Spears rolled up Smith up and grabs the ropes to score the pin.
