-- Sources say one of the reasons Edge and Chris Jericho were given the tag titles was to limit the in-ring involvement of Edge, who is reportedly banged up at the moment. Of course, while he will not have to carry as much of a workload in the ring, his stake in the Unified Tag Championship does technically position him to work across all three brands.
-- Matt Hardy gave his thoughts on a wrestling journalist for assuming that he spoiled his move to SmackDown on his Twitter.
“I love how a guy who considers himself a top-notch wrestling journalist claimed I “spilled the beans” by posting I was traded to Smackdown when it had been up on WWE.com for almost an hour. He suggested maybe I “had permission” to post that, while it was already public info and all over the internet already. He’s quite an arrogant goof when it comes to matters like this. He’s constantly wrong in his reviews and regularly incorrect on matters. But my biggest complaint is that often insults talent, matches, or ideas just to seem “cool.” If you want to be looked at as a serious journalist, have your facts straight & remain professional by not insulting who keeps you in business. Not that my opinion is important, but that’s my opinion. I absolutely LOVE the true fans of the business, especially the positive ones who unconditionally respect all the pain, injuries, & sacrifices that ALL pro wrestlers go through to keep this wonderful business alive.” Matt said.
