- WWE RAW kicks off tonight with clips from last night's Backlash pay-per-view and the Fatal Four Way match for the WWE Title.
- The pyro hits and Jim Ross welcomes us to a crowd of 17,166 WWE fans at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The music hits and out comes the WWE Champion, Triple H, to a huge pop.
Triple H comes out, dressed in street clothes, with the WWE Title around his waist. Triple H climbs the turnbuckles and poses for the fans with his new belt. The Game's entrance goes on for about 5 minutes until the music finally stops and he gets on the mic.
I can't be 100% sure, but it looks like Triple H has a new WWE Title belt, that doesn't spin. Triple H says he has an announcement to make, and says as of right now, the Age of Orton is officially dead. The crowd pops. Triple H talks about how 8 months ago, he made his return after being injured and didn't know if he could ever be the best again. 8 months later, he returns to the same building and can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, The Game is back.
Triple H goes to talk but Randy Orton's music hits and he comes out, dressed to wrestle. Orton says no, Triple H doesn't get a victory speech. Orton says the odds were stacked against him last night. Orton says he is a victim of his own success.
Orton brings up the Judgment Day pay-per-view in three weeks and says he is going to use his rematch clause to get the WWE Title back. Triple H tells Orton to get the hell out of his ring and Orton says he isn't going anywhere. Orton says this is his ring and that's his title. Orton goes on and Triple H decks him in the head with the microphone. Orton rolls out of the ring and says forget Judgment Day, he can't wait that long. Orton says the Age of Orton isn't dead, it's just begun. Orton says Triple H's last WWE Title reign didn't last 24 hours and this one won't either. Orton says he will use his rematch clause tonight and get the belt back.
Triple H raises the WWE Title high in the air inside the ring while Randy Orton stares him down from outside of the ring. The Game's music hits as Orton moves towards the back, mocking and staring down Triple H. We go ringside with Lawler and JR, who say they will try and get confirmation on the WWE Title match tonight as we go to commercial.
- We see a promo for tomorrow night's ECW on Sci-Fi broadcast that will see ECW Champion Kane in a Handicap match against Bam Neely and Chavo Guerrero.
- Back from commercial and Jim Ross confirms that there will be a WWE Title match tonight with Triple H defending against Randy Orton.
Backlash Rematch: Mickie James, Cherry, Kelly Kelly, Ashley, Michelle McCool, Maria vs. Beth Phoenix, Layla, Natalya, Jillian, Victoria, Melina
Team Mickie is out first for this pay-per-view rematch. Ross says that the losers requested this match.
The match starts off with all 12 Divas brawling in the ring. The bell sounds and it's Kelly in the ring with The Glamazon. Beth slams Kelly and picks her ip on her shoulders, ramming her into the turnbuckles.
Victoria comes in and goes to work on Kelly. She tags in Melina who continues punishing Kelly. Kelly counters and gets a 2 count until Phoenix breaks the count.
It's Mickie and Jillian in the ring now and Mickie clocks Beth, then kicks Victoria. Mickie continues dominating Jillian until Layla kicks her in the back. Mickie stills rolls up Jillian out of nowhere and gets the pinfall for the win.
Winners: Maria, Ashley, Cherry, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool and Mickie James

JBL vs. Robbie McAllister
The Highlanders are in the ring awaiting the arrival of JBL. JBL has a serious look on his face and locks up with Robbie, pushing him into the turnbuckle and going at him hard to start the match.
JBL with a big back body drop followed by a series of elbow drops on Robbie. JBL hits a huge Clothesline from Hell on Robbie to get the 1-2-3. JBL taunts Rory McAllister to come in the ring but the other Highlander passes on the offer. JBL goes to the announcers table and says that should have been John Cena because he robbed him last night. JBL says now hell has been unleashed on WWE as he is challenging the winner of the WWE Title match tonight. He says he will destroy John Cena and then do whatever it takes to get his torch back.
Winner: JBL

- Back from commercial and the WWE Slam of the Week is from last week's singles match on RAW where JTG from Cryme Tyme defeated Trevor Murdoch.
Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch
London and Kendrick run to the ring first to get things going. Cade and Murdoch are out next. Cade and London are going to start the match out.
Cade gets an early 2 count on London before tagging in Murdoch. Murdoch keeps London in their corner, beating him down for another 2 count. Cade is tagged back in for a little bit of double team on London. London finally makes the tag to Kendrick who comes in with a series of high impact moves on Cade. Cade pushes Kendrick into Murdoch, knocking him to the floor. Murdoch tagged back in but he gets rolled up by Kendrick for the pinfall and the win.
Winners: Paul London and Brian Kendrick
After the match, Lance Cade gets in Murdoch's face until he rolls out of the ring. Murdoch climbs on top of the RAW announcers table, grabs a mic and starts singing to Lance Cade. Murdoch is singing "Friends in Low Places" I believe as Cade looks on puzzled. Murdoch finishes his song and Cade walks off towards the back as his partner looks on.
- We see a clip from Batista and HBK's match at Backlash and a promo for the Highlight Reel tonight with HBK as the special guest as we go back to commercial.
Paul Burchill and Katie Lea vs. Super Crazy
Super Crazy is waiting in the ring as Katie Lea and Paul Burchill come to the ring. Katie says that William Regal has allowed them to make this a Handicap match.
Crazy gets a few moves over on Burchill to start the match and Katie gets involved. Crazy actually gets a few hits on Katie. Paul holds down Crazy while Katie kicks him in the head. Crazy tries to fight back but has no luck. Paul throws Katie into Crazy but he jumps out of the way. Crazy mounts an offense but misses a moonsault on Burchill from the top.
Burchill holds Crazy as Katie Lea hits a missile dropkick from the top rope. Paul Burchill hits the Curb Stopper on Crazy and lets Katie Lea get the pinfall on Super Crazy.
Winners: Katie Lea and Paul Burchill
- We go backstage with Todd Grisham and Randy Orton. Grisham asks him if he has any second thoughts about the rematch with Triple H. Orton simply says no, and that's it.
- We see a promo for William Regal's King of the Ring coronation ceremony, which is next, as we go back to commercial.
- Back from commercial and Lilian Garcia tells us we are about to witness the official coronation of the king of all of WWE, William Regal. The spotlight shines on the ring and William Regal is sitting on the king's throne in the middle of the ring as the music plays and Regal looks around.
Regal says he will not be dropping his duties of RAW General Manager as he will keep both King of the Ring and RAW GM titles. He says he earned them both and is now the most powerful entity in the WWE. Orton says the fans in the audience and the WWE Superstars will have no choice but to respect him and fear him. Regal says from this day forward, he is everyone's ruler, their better, their superior... KENNEDY! Out comes Mr. Kennedy!
Mr. Kennedy returns to RAW and makes his way to the ring, coming face to face with William Regal. Kennedy says he would love to be the first guy to congratulate him on becoming King of the Ring, but he just can't do that. Kennedy asks who is the biggest Superstar in WWE who wasn't invited to the KOTR tournament? And had he been there, he would have won it. Who's the guy who would love to challenge Regal one-on-one to find out who the real King is? Guess who? Mrrr... Regal interrupts him and says nobody talks to him unless they've been granted an appointment. Regal tells Kennedy he should apologize.
Kennedy says I...Am....Mrrrr. Kennedy....Kennedy! Regal clocks Kennedy in the face with a strong right hand and Kennedy rolls to the floor. Kennedy rushes back in the ring and starts brawling on the mat with Regal as WWE officials try to separate them. That first punch from Regal was a legit punch it looked like as Kennedy's head is bleeding. We go to commercial.
Santino Marella vs. Cody Rhodes
Santino gets on the mic first off and says he doesn't like New Jersey and doesn't like The Sopranos, calling them fake Italians and fake Italian stereotypes. Out comes Cody next with Hardcore Holly at his side.
Santino takes control of the match to start off with kicks and forearms. Cody misses a move from the top rope, Santino trips him and gets a 2 count. Santino applies a chinlock, keeping Cody on the mat. Cody fights back and rolls Santino up for a 2 count. Santino comes back with another 2 count of his own followed by more shots to the back and a camel clutch.
Santino keeps the camel clutch locked until Cody stands up with him on his shoulders and drops him backwards. Carlito cheers on Santino as both men are down. They exchange left and right hands in the ring until Cody hits a dropkick and a clothesline. Santino counters the bulldog by Cody and gets a 2 count with his feet on the ropes.
Cody counters a move from Santino, hits the DDT and covers Marella for the 1-2-3 and the win.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
After the match, Carlito looks on at Santino with disappointment. Cody Rhodes gets on the mic and starts talking to Santino, who is still down, until Carlito sneaks in from behind and takes Cody down with the Backstabber. Carlito and Santino make their exit as Holly comes in to check on Cody.
- Backstage we see Chris Jericho, in a tuxedo, coming to the ring for a special edition of the Highlight Reel with Shawn Michaels. Back to commercial.
The Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels
Back from commercial and the WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho welcomes us to a very special Awards Edition of The Highlight Reel. Jericho has the award for the best actor in sports entertainment and lists the nominees: Don Muraco and Mr. Fuji in the Fuji General segment, Michael Cole in Deliverance Part 2 from the 9/26/04 edition of SmackDown with Heidenreich, and finally, Shawn Michaels pretending to have a knee injury to beat Batista at Backlash last night. And the winner is... Shawn Michaels. Jericho calls down HBK who comes to the ring limping.
Jericho says HBK amazed him last night with what he did and tells him to give the people what they want, a speech. HBK tells Jericho he really is hurt. Jericho keeps taunting HBK and calling bluff on his injury, telling him to tell Batista and the world the truth.
Jericho says kudos to HBK's performance and has his music played. Jericho applauds HBK, who just stands at the podium looking at Jericho. The WWE Intercontinental Champion leaves the ring and heads to the back as HBK looks on.
- Backstage we see Triple H getting ready for his match with Randy Orton tonight on RAW. Back to commercial we go.
- Backstage we see Santino Marella. Santino says nothing makes him happier than WWE Divas and walks up towards someone from behind, saying they have some junk in the trunk. It's Roddy Piper. The Hot Rod turns around and he and Santino meet each other. Piper ends up slapping Santino and asking, does that boy have a death wish, or is he just special? We cut to more highlights from last night's Backlash.
WWE Title Match: Randy Orton vs. Triple H
Randy Orton comes out first for this rematch for the WWE Title. We get ready for the WWE Champion's entrance as we go back to commercial.
Back from commercial and the music hits as the WWE Champion Triple H makes his way to the ring. Lilian Garcia does the ring introductions as we get ready to kick things off.
The bell finally sounds at 10:42 and we're ready to go. They lock up, going into the ropes and the turnbuckles, trying to overpower one another. The referee finally breaks them apart and the two come face to face. Orton throws on a side headlock and hits a big shoulder block on The Game.
They go back to another test of strength and Triple H applies his own side headlock. Triple H with a big knockdown and a crotch chop to Orton. Triple H with another big slam on Orton for a 2 count. Triple H now works on the arm of Randy Orton. Orton fights back with right hands in the corner.
Triple H throws Orton into two ringposts, shoulder first. Jim Ross mentions John Cena isn't at RAW tonight due to the kick from Orton at Backlash last night. Triple H keeps working on the arm and shoulders of Randy Orton. Orton tries to fight back, but The Game keeps concentrating on the shoulder.
Orton goes to the outside but Triple H follows him and brings him back into the ring. Orton kicks Triple H square in the head as he enters the ring, sending him down on the apron. Orton brings Triple H in and hits a big nasty DDT and both men are down as we go to commercial.
Back from commercial and Randy Orton is in control of Triple H, beating him with right hands all over the ring. Triple H finally fights back with right hands of his own but gets taken down by a big dropkick from Randy Orton. Orton gets a 2 count and applies another side headlock on Triple H.
Orton keeps the headlock applied as Triple H is on both knees, fading out. Triple H fights back and puts a sleeper hold on Orton. Randy comes back with a back suplex, regaining control of the match. Orton begins stomping on Triple H's arms, ankles, knees and hands.
Orton with a big knee drop on Triple H and another 2 count as Triple H kicks out. Triple H rolls to the apron as Orton goes to the outside and brings Triple H to the floor with right hands to the forehead. Orton uses the fan barricade to further weaken The Game. Triple H goes into the steel steps before Orton takes him back into the ring for another 2 count.
Orton hits a quick round of right hands on Triple H and locks on another chinlock, keeping Triple H grounded to the mat. Orton goes to the headlock, but Triple H starts fighting to his feet once again and hits another back suplex as Orton rolls to the corner. Orton catches Triple H in the head with a big boot, knocking him back down. Orton scoop slams Triple H and begins to stalk him in the ring, waiting for him to get up.
Triple H gets to his feet and blocks the RKO, pushing Orton into the turnbuckle. Triple H with a big right hand, and another, and another, staggering Orton. Triple H hits the facebuster followed by a big clothesline on Orton. Orton catches Triple H in another big powerslam and both men are back down. Orton covers Triple H for another close 2 count.
Triple H hits the running knee on Orton, knocking him down for another close 2 count. Triple H hits a series of big right hands in the corner as the referee separates them. Orton comes out of nowhere, hitting a back breaker move on Triple H. Another 2 count by Orton. Randy Orton climbs the top turnbuckle until Triple H rushes him, knocking down. Triple H climbs up and hits a big superplex from the second rope. Both men are back down.
Triple H covers Orton for another close 2 count. Back to their feet and Orton hits a thumb to the eye followed by an RKO attempt that's blocked. Orton counters The Pedigree and throws Triple H into the turnbuckle. Triple H manages to apply the Crossface on Orton as we go to the WWE production trailer where William Regal is walking around, asking the production crew if he saw where people disrespected him. Regal says the people don't deserve to see the end of this match and asks the man to take it off the air. Then he tells him to take it off the air, chokes him and takes him to the floor, screaming for him to take it off the air.
The screen goes to black but we still hear Ross and Lawler doing commentary. It sound like Orton is trying to make it to the ropes after being locked in the Crossface still. RAW goes off the air right in the middle of Jerry Lawler's calling of the match.
