RAW is Blogged - DX, SAVE_US, More

Pre-Show Notes:
I wanted to start off by saying a little hello to those that told me the Red Sox wouldn't win the World Series. I believe this is 2 in the last 4 and we swept whoever we were playing both times. I don't plan on us making the playoffs next year because last time, we didn't.

Cyber Sunday wasn't that great but most WWE PPV's aren't. The voting this time did seem legitimate because the Miz got a title shot, the Shillelagh on a Pole match wasn't used, JBL wasn't chosen as the special ref, and that's about it. Batista and Undertaker did save the PPV at the end to prevent it from sucking even more. Once again, no Jericho on the PPV. Hopefully he will return tonight. Edge should be back at Survivor Series, so I'm looking forward to that. A lot of people have said the Jericho videos are for Edge. Um, no. That would be like me putting together a Red Sox highlight tape and saying it's about the San Diego Padres. Come on people, use your brain. I hope the haters that come by once a month will enjoy this week's blog. The Colts aren't on MNF, so I won't have to hear those whiney people telling me I should keep my TV on RAW and RAW only. Now, it's that time for RAW is Blogged!

I can remember when Jericho debuted they had the countdown clock on before RAW started. So, naturally, I was looking for a SAVE_US video to start RAW off but had no such luck.

Starting the show off with a Halloween Costume Battle Royal wasn't exactly a brilliant idea. I got to see Mickie, so I was pretty happy but I didn't expect all of the Divas. Man, I wish I could have a costume party with them. I thought Victoria's sumo suit was great. At baseball games here at Georgia Southern, we have sumo wrestling matches between innings and since I'm the announcer, I usually throw in WWE nicknames during the intros.

Back to the battle royal, was this for the #1 Contender's spot? They could have said something before hand. I mean, I don't mind seeing the Divas as long as it's for something and not wasting my time. I know Brooke had plenty of cushion to break her fall when she was eliminated. I guess Torrie didn't get booed as much as she did last night when she came out in a Philadelphia Eagles uniform. The acting at the end between Torrie and Victoria was great, even with Torrie's thong hanging out. Kelly Kelly won and no, she didn't get implants. She just had on a big push up bra. The Glamazon came out and destroyed Kelly. You know, in a sick, twisted way, I'd let her kick my ass if she wanted to. She reminds me of Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

They recapped the voting from last night for the WWE Championship. For those scoring at home, I voted for Jeff Hardy, Stone Cold, John Morrison, a No DQ match for Mysterio-Finlay, a Mixed Martial Arts match for MVP-Hardy, and a Steel Cage match for Triple H-Umaga. Most people said this match wasn't that great but with HBK's knees coming off surgery, it was good enough. I must say, the finish SUCKED! A chair shot would have been better than a low blow, but that's just my logical approach. Remember, logic isn't a part of the creative team. Can we get rid of the spinner belt?

The Michaels-McMahon promo was pretty intense. I liked it. Now, if you apply logic here, this is what I get. HBK lost the match as a challenger. Therefore, he should drop down the list of contender's and someone else should move up. If he had been the champion, he would have a legitimate beef. I can't really understand why he's getting a shot (I know they're feuding) if he hasn't won the right. Vince should have made a match later that night between HBK and somebody else, maybe Mr. Kennedy since he beat Jeff and he was also one of the choices for the fans. Wait, I forgot, there's no logic on the creative team!

As expected, Rhodes and Holly were involved in a tag match this week against the World's Greatest Tag Team. During the match, there was a loud "Y2J" chant going on. Man, I'm on edge for his return as I type this. Cody picked up the win in what looks to be a cool feud for the next few weeks.

The Glamazon promo was alright as another "Y2J" chant broke out. I guess they've decided to do a version of Balls-Kelly on RAW with Trevor Murdoch and Mickie James. Yeah, Mickie's hot and Murdoch better hit it! They teased a break up of Cade & Murdoch, which isn't smart in my opinion.

I wish Vince would have given me pep talks before my big games or contests. I enjoyed his talk with Hornswoggle. I thoroughly believe Hornswoggle does the best acting job during his promos. I mean, his facial expressions are excellent. He deserves a raise in pay for the way he acts during promos. I mean, Vince said you get knocked down, Horny would get sad. Vince said you get back up, Horny would raise his head and get excited. He was great.

They aired a SAVE_US video and it said something about "Break the Code" and some other stuff. This is killing me. If he doesn't debut soon, I might cry!

Coach came out for his match against Hornswoggle. I never thought I would be cheering for a leprechaun. I didn't expect a special guest referee but it's great to see Mick Foley. The only thing is, the more he appears like this, the more he ruins his reputation with the younger fans that don't remember his career. He's not in that great of shape and all we see him as is a special referee. Hornswoggle moves were great! He even road Coach like a pony! I loved the Mr. Socko and the Lil' Socko! They topped it off with the Tadpole Splash and Hornswoggle got the win! So far, this was the best segment on RAW.

Triple H's promo was alright. I figured after hearing the "ace up my sleeve" comment, DX was going to reform tonight. I can't get over how the DX reunion wasn't great and all, yet they still outsell everybody else's merchandise. Amazing. If anybody's checked out the new Guitar Hero game, let me know how it is.

I'm just hoping the feud between London & Kendrick and Cade & Murdoch lasts a while. I'd rather watch that than Umaga-Triple H. Cade won a quick match but why are the best workers in the company having to do short matches? It doesn't make any sense. The Highlanders came out and beat down London & Kendrick. I think the Highlanders have gotten over a little more since their heel turn.

Jeff Hardy came back out after the break for a tag match with DH Smith. Personally, they royally f*cked up his debut. They could have done some vignettes or some promos or something. I mean, he just showed up, beat Carlito, and that was it. The match was solid. I enjoyed it. It was the best match so far as Hornswoggle and Coach had the best segment.

Santino made his way out after the commercial break. Now, using logic on the creative side, Santino would have gotten involved with Stone Cold last night. But, remember, there's no logic on the creative team. Just as I typed that, we got an explanation from Santino about the WWE's travel department. Before he could finish insulting The Condemned, Austin's music hit. The catch is, some guy with a bald head that looked an awful lot like Santino came on the screen. Maria came down and told Santino that Stone Cold would be on RAW next week. So, why can't he appear tonight?

Well, no Jericho so far but we get a new Diva! Man, that made my night! Ok, I'm lying but you guys get the idea. There was some people in the crowd booing the hell out of the Diva Search. To be honest, none of them have panned out and actually done something, except maybe Ashley. Hemme is in TNA and Layla is trying to dance on ECW. Eve won and she's pretty hot. Brooke hauled ass and looked pissed.

The SAVE_US stuff aired again and I noticed something about "3RD SEQUENCE" in it. Well, it's aired twice already, so I was thinking it was going to air again with Jericho coming out. The video aired right before the main event with Orton, so I had my fingers crossed. I then thought about the "ace up my sleeve" comment by Triple H and I was thinking it's either HBK or Jericho. My suspicions were correct when HBK ran down and helped Triple H. Apparently, we're going to have the return of DX next week against Umaga and Randy Orton. If they don't bring Jericho back soon, I'm going to be pissed. The way it's looking, it might be next week since they're making next week a big deal with Austin and DX.

I give this RAW:
