RAW is Blogged - Cena, Triple H, More

Reported By Luke Parks on Monday, October 1 2007

I wasn't very happy when RAW started off with the announcement of John Cena against Mr. Kennedy. I figured Kennedy was finally paying his dues by jobbing to Cena.

McMahon did his usual deal but the thought of a Triple H-McMahon match headlining Wrestlemania was laughable. McMahon-Hogan, maybe but that was when Vince was somewhat in his "prime." The recap of the feud was good. Umaga finally returned and crushed the 3 jabronis.

I enjoyed the Hardy, London, & Kendrick against Cade, Murdoch, and Benjamin match. That was the shit. The only thing is, if Hardy gets a tremendous push one day and becomes champion, will he end up like John Cena? If you watch Hardy, he's somewhat limited like Cena, except most of his moves are high-flying. He might get booed for his limited wrestling ability. It's just a thought but you heard it hear first. I couldn't believe Paul London pulled off the running Shooting Star Press off the ring apron. That was probably the highlight of the night. I wish that the Highlanders had came out and got involved some how. I wish the match had been longer because it was the best one of the night.

Orton did another taped promo, which probably meant he would get involved later. The one thing that bothered me was JR saying the fans were still talking about Orton kicking Cena's dad. Well, 5 weeks later, I really didn't care too much about it anymore. Today, wrestling fans, at least on here, are talking about the Save_Us.222 video.

Moving on I will admit the stuff with Regal searching for Hornswoggle was funny. The Diva Search stuff doesn't matter to me. If they're good to look at and don't try to wrestle, I don't mind too much.

What's funny to me is how the Highlanders want a tag title shot. So, getting destroyed by Snitsky gives you a shot at the titles? Wow. That's a new one on me. Maybe Nunzio can get an ECW title shot since he got destroyed by Mike Knox.

Beth got to talk. The techno music is growing on me. They all looked hot. Enough said about that.

The Cody Rhodes-Hardcore Holly storyline is cool. I always enjoy a veteran-taking-the-rookie-under-his-wing storyline. This is supposed to lead to a tag team run with those two against Cade & Murdoch.

A somewhat different Save_Us.222 video aired before the McMahon-Triple H match. It looked like it said Savior this week along with all of the other stuff. It's got to be Jericho. Who else could it be?

The winner is Mr. McMahon announcement gave me a clue that Hornswoggle would some how be involved. I figured the referee would Hornswoggle but I was surprised when Carlito came out. The match was your usual boring slow take their time fest with McMahon getting the win by DQ. But, in typical Triple H fashion, he didn't sell many moves and ended up getting the upper hand. I mean, can't he take a beating every now and then? You make a better face by having the heel gain the upper hand and beating you down. Hell, John Cena takes his beatings on the TV shows and wins the PPV match. How hard is that?

Marella at the Movies was funny. I'm enjoying his comedy skits as long as they don't take up too much time. I'm expecting Austin to come out soon and do something. When it comes to your acting, we're all condemned. That was great! I didn't expect to see Val Venis come out. He got a decent reaction for a guy who hasn't done much. They need to have Val out more. Santino is also hilarious when he's talking while people are coming out.

Cena's promo sucked. Blah blah blah. Same old crap. He's right thought. We have Cena-nuff.

I didn't really expect 2 Diva-type matches this week on RAW. JR & King's disputes were funny. "I'm talking about Chad Patton the referee. He had a sex-change." That was pretty funny. As much as I enjoy the Diva matches, notice the sarcasm, I could deal with a lot less screaming. The stuff at the end with Hornswoggle was great. Personally, right now, he's the best performer as far as facial expressions and getting stuff over is concerned.

Steve-O got a good reaction. I probably won't be checking out his show but at least he got a good reaction! The only thing is, he won't be making Ron Simmons any tougher.

Cena got his usual boy band reaction with some sporadic boos. I enjoyed the sign that said "Cena Please Drop the Belt." I'm right there with those guys. He needs to drop the belt soon. Kennedy started off with the "I really don’t like you." Kennedy, a lot of us don't like him. The chicks chanted "Let's go Cena" while the fellas chanted "Let's go Kennedy." I always enjoy a good dueling chant. But, as always, Cena makes somebody who's better than him tap. At least Orton got the RKO on Cena.
