I first want to thank everybody for the birthday wishes & e-mails.

Before I realized it, it was Friday and I needed to do an Excess blog.

There's no question that ECW is heading down hill and heading down hill fast. The more the show goes on, the more apparent it seems that up until this week, Vince hasn't given a shit about ECW. Now, with the influx of guys from Smackdown, it should help the brand stay afloat.

ECW isn't great at all. If you look at things, nobody has carried the brand itself, unless you count CM Punk. Most people watch ECW because of CM Punk and that remains a fact. Punk has no supporting cast however. You can't honestly say Big Flabby V can pull ratings. He seems like a guy that would make fans turn the product off. When you see those jelly rolls flopping around, it makes you want to throw up and not tune in next week. I've analyzed the roster and given my thoughts on the whole thing.

One major problem is instead of letting the Originals carry the brand for a while, New Breed talent, pardon the pun, was pushed on everybody and it turned a lot of people off. I know Rob Van Dam screwed up by getting busted with marijuana but Tommy Dreamer or Sabu or Sandman could have done some good carrying the title for a while. Instead, we got the Big Show as the ECW Champion. He proved himself to be an extreme giant just as CM Punk was being built up. I believe the December to Dismember PPV was the turning point in this whole ordeal, not to mention the firing of Paul Heyman.

While new stars were introduced, it's not what the people wanted. .People wanted Punk carrying the belt and showing what ECW was about. Instead of Punk, we got Bobby Lashley. Now, I'm not going to knock Lashley a whole lot but he's not extreme at all. I would rather have Ric Flair carrying the brand, at least he bleeds. Most of this is redundant but the fact remains, Vince McMahon has ruined ECW.

As these Smackdown/RAW rejects came to ECW to try and carry it, people didn't want to see that crap. We wanted blood, or at least I did. I wanted sick moves, i.e. Canadian Destroyer or something extreme. People remembered ECW as the anti-establishment. Vince was making it into another brand in his vision. His visions is retarded storylines, shitty wrestling, and time wasting eye candy. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing Kelly and Brooke ever now and then, but the Miz is retarded. We'll get to him in a second.

The next slap in the face was Vince McMahon winning the ECW title. Now, I know a lot of people say that it's the new ECW and all that, but just because it's a "new" brand doesn't mean that mystique isn't there. If he had won the World Heavyweight Championship, I would have said the same thing as I did when he won the ECW belt: he's pissing on everybody that's won the belt before him. From there, it's sucked even more.

The whole Benoit stuff didn't help much and neither did John Morrison. Now that Punk's got the belt, if ECW goes down the tubes, I'm sure somebody will try and blame him. But if you notice, of ALL of the ECW Champions since it's revival, except maybe RVD, Punk has been over the most. ECW needs some star power or something that will make me want to tune in each week.

Now they're talking about doing it as an online show. YAY! I can catch Heat and then ECW. HELLS YEAH! If I were Tazz and Joey Styles, I'd quit if it went to an online show. From here on out, I'm referring to ECW as Velocity Dos.

I had something else on my mind to discuss this week but I can't think of it. RAW is a little better. Velocity Dos sucks. I hardly watch Smackdown cause I don't have time. I didn't watch TNA last night. Professional wrestling is sucking. The women in TNA, except for Awesome Kong, are all hot and can wrestle. Umm, guys I'm sorry but there's not much else to say. I'll be back for RAW is Blogged on Monday unless something crazy comes up.
