Summerslam is this weekend, so let's get right down to it!

WWE Championship
John Cena © vs. Randy Orton
Going into this match, I hope Orton wins. But, with the past few weeks, it looks as if John Cena will once again retain the WWE Championship. Last Summerslam, it was John Cena against Edge for Edge's WWE Championship in Boston, Massachusetts. Fast forward a year later, and Cena has been the champion since last September. This time, we're in New Jersey for Summerslam. Cena has done a great job over the past year carrying the company, especially when a lot of the top guys went down. Merchandise sales are huge, much like when Stone Cold Steve Austin was coming along. I remember you couldn't go anywhere without seeing somebody wearing an Austin shirt, or an Austin shirt for sale, or some kind of Austin merchandise out there. The same has happened with Cena. Most of you know, I went to an ECW/Smackdown house show back in June. Everywhere I looked, there was John Cena gear. Most of his gear was worn by kids who probably didn't know Cena wouldn't be there. The fact is, Cena can make money for the WWE. There's no denying that. Cena caters to 2 parts of the 3-part audience, the women & the children. A majority of the women are Cena fans and almost every kid is either a Cena or Batista fan. These same people despise Randy Orton. Orton is loved by most males for the fact that he's going against Cena. It never fails that whoever is fighting Cena is the guy that the male audience cheers for. Orton has Triple H in his corner. Triple H has realized that the company will make more money with Cena chasing the belt rather than having Cena run over everybody. Orton is a good wrestler. Some of his moves aren't the most exciting ones out there but he can work a good match. The booking of Cena's character hasn't won him many fans who know the way the business works. I could see the WWE swerving us and having Cena retain. That's one reason I won't be paying any money to see this PPV. Sure, there are other matches that will cater to my wants as a fan. But, with the outcome of the main event almost certain, why waste money? Orton is the Legend Killer. He's beaten Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Rob Van Dam, DX, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Mick Foley, just to name a few. I hope I'm wrong about Cena retaining and I hope Randy Orton wins his second world title.
My Projected Winner: Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship
The Great Khali © vs. Batista
This match won't be what everybody comes to see. I honestly don't care too much for this feud. Most people know my opinion on Khali. I personally think he should be fired. The man can't wrestle. He barely can walk. Now, he's got a new finisher, "The Claw." By most people, it would look somewhat deadly. But, with Khali's awkwardness and his clumsiness, it's a joke. I wish Kane had been involved in this match. He and Batista would have made it not quite as bad as it's going to be. I've always said that world title matches should be at least 15-20 minutes. I hope this match doesn't stretch past 10, entrances included. I wish Batista would take the belt off of Khali for the sole fact that he would be a better champion. Hell, anybody would be a better champion than Crappy Khali.
My Projected Winner: Batista

ECW Championship
John Morrison © vs. CM Punk
This match has the potential to steal the show. This will be their 3rd PPV match for the belt. Many feel that it's Punk's time to become champion. He's been in ECW for over a year. He's clearly over. He's more over than John Morrison. Regardless of being a heel or a face, Punk gets the better reaction for his character. They're finally letting Punk talk! He can cut some of the best promos. His promo with Vince McMahon on Tuesday was golden. I could see Punk turning heel if he wins the belt. After all, he did that in ROH and went on a tear. There's no doubt these two, if given the right amount of time, can tear the house down. If they weren't as limited as it seems, they would easily have a 4-star match that would probably be better than the other two world title matches. It's Punk's time. Morrison was brought over to groom his skills. He's slowly getting into the heel role that they want him to be. There's not many other guys in ECW that Morrison can feud with unless it's Tommy Dreamer or they do a heel-heel feud. It's time for CM Punk to claim his title in what could be the match of the night.
My Projected Winner: CM Punk

Intercontinental Championship
Triple Threat Match
Umaga © vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Carlito
This is one of those matches/feuds that's changed a lot. At first, it was going to be Umaga & some buddies against Jeff Hardy & the Jackass crew. The Jackass crew backed out, so it was Umaga-Jeff Hardy. Then, Jeff Hardy goes off & does something and gets himself suspended. So, Umaga is turned face and left without an opponent. Enter Carlito & Mr. Kennedy. This past Monday, they had a good match. The crowd, who sucked and if you were in that crowd and you're reading this, you sucked. The crowd didn't help Carlito & Kennedy at all. They had a few sloppy spots but they were kicking ass. Regal made the match a 3-way after the #1 Contender's match. I feel pretty sure that with the McMahon kid angle conclusion coming up, I don't see Kennedy winning the belt. Then again, him winning the belt could start his mega-push. Carlito is a perfect choice for a champion. He's better as a heel than he is a face. Hell, Umaga is a great choice for a champion. This guy right now is the best big guy in the WWE. Before you start screaming bloody murder, Undertaker isn't here right now. So, he's not the best big man. I could see this match stealing the show also. But, I think that the guy from the Caribbean will walk out with the gold.
My Projected Winner: Carlito

Battle of the Kings
Triple H vs. King Booker
Triple H is finally back. I'm expecting the roof to blow off the building when his music hits. I wouldn't pay $40 just to see his return when I know that, 1) he will win and 2) he's gonna be on RAW the next night. King Booker had a great run last year as the World Heavyweight Champion. I could see him getting another run before he retires. But, Summerslam is time to play the game. I know these two will have a good match. I'm sure they've been working on some stuff behind the scenes. The last time these two hooked up on a big PPV was at Wrestlemania 19 for Triple H's World Heavyweight Championship. I think they'll have a pretty good match. Regardless, it's Triple H's return and he'll win.
My Projected Winner: Triple H

Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
Despite having this match at last year's Summerslam, I'm looking forward to it again. These two guys should be the focal point of the Cruiserweight division, not Hornswoggle & Noble. If these two feud for the belt, they would restore the belt's credibility. I can't see Rey losing in his return. I figure that Vickie Guerrero will get involved somehow. Somebody's got to get involved. I don't think the creative team would let them have a regular, high-flying match. This is another potential match of the night. But, with Rey's return, it's time for Chavo to take a backseat for a while.
My Projected Winner: Rey Mysterio

Kane vs. Finlay
I'm surprised this isn't a "Shalalee on a Pole" match. I guess that's how you spell it. This is an interesting feud. Who knew dumping a cup of coffee on a guy could create such chaos? I wish they would find a mini-Kane to battle against Hornswoggle. They found a mini-Boogeyman. Why can't it be done? Either way, Kane is a good worker. He's been WWE Champion once and I guess he's ok with that. I wish he would get the belt one more time. I don't know how long Finlay's got before he goes back to being a road agent. I could see Kane continuing his momentum and winning the match.
My Projected Winner: Kane

Divas Battle Royal
#1 Contender's Match
I honestly don't care too much for this match. I will enjoy my nightly T&A from the WWE. As for the winner, if it's not a trained women's wrestler, like Victoria, or Jillian, or Mickie, or Beth Phoenix, I really don't care. If you're going to have a Women's Championship, have it held by a trained women's wrestler. I get that these ladies train and improve their ring skills, but it's time to leave it to the professionals. I could see Beth Phoenix winning because they made a big deal about her on RAW. But, I want to see my favorite Divas, Mickie James, win the battle royal.
My Projected Winner: Mickie James
